Some Notes on Google Cloud Account
GCP Project and Firebase Project
Firebase and Google Cloud Platform share an underlying infrastructure, meaning they utilize the same project for their services. As explained in this article on Medium, linking an active billing account to a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) project essentially upgrades the corresponding Firebase project from the free Spark Plan to the pay-as-you-go Blaze Plan. You’ll receive an alert in Firebase stating “Project upgraded to the BLAZE plan due to activity in the Google Cloud Platform console.” Conversely, downgrading the Firebase Blaze Plan is the same as unlinking the billing account in GCP.
